Jack Self is an architect, theorist and writer.

In practice he has worked for several international firms, including as Junior Architect for Ateliers Jean Nouvel in Paris.

Jack founded Fulcrum, the Architectural Association's weekly publication in 2011, (where he is a Diploma of Architecture student) and in 2009 founded the Ballardian-inspired Millennium People think tank.

He was Associate Editor of the Architectural Review from 2010-2011, and frequently contributes to a variety of architectural publications (including AR, AD, BD, etc). Jack is currently Associate Editor at Strelka Press.

His open-source architectural novella, Scatterbrain, has been widely re-published; most recently in Volume magazine and Kerb journal of architecture.

In 2012 Jack completed an MA in philosophy at the University of Birkbeck. His dissertation, titled "Fifty Pence: Tax and Moral Priorities", examined the ethics of neoliberal economic theory.
